Integration Guide: Notion

Overview

The Notion integration connects Tello IAM to your Notion workspace using SCIM provisioning. The connection requires a single SCIM API Token generated from Notion organization settings.

Before connecting

The Administrator completing this setup must be an organization owner on a Notion Enterprise Plan. SCIM provisioning is only available on the Notion Enterprise Plan.

Step 1: Generate a SCIM API Token in Notion

1. Navigate to notion.com/settings/organization.
2. Select the General tab.
3. Scroll to the SCIM provisioning section.
4. Select Add token to generate a new token, or copy an existing token if one has already been created.
5. Copy the token value.

Important: Copy the SCIM API Token before leaving this page. If lost, a new token must be generated.

Step 2: Connect Notion in Tello IAM

1. Navigate to Integrations in the left navigation.
2. Select + Add Integration.
3. Search for Notion and select Add.
4. Enter the SCIM API Token in the SCIM API Token field.
5. Select Test Connection to verify the token is valid. A Connection successful confirmation will appear if accepted.
6. Select Connect. The integration appears on the Integrations page and an initial sync begins automatically.

Verify the connection

After the initial sync completes, confirm the following on the Integrations page:

• The Notion integration displays a status of Active
• A sync timestamp is present and reflects the completed sync
• User records on the Users page display detected Notion permissions in the Access column

Reauthorizing the connection

If the Notion integration loses authorization, it will display an error on the Integrations page. To reauthorize, generate a new SCIM API Token in Notion organization settings, then select the integration row in Tello IAM, select Configure, and enter the new token.
