Integration Guide: Figma

Overview

The Figma integration connects Tello IAM to your Figma organization using SCIM provisioning. The connection requires a Figma Organization ID and a SCIM API Token, both obtained from Figma Admin Settings.

Before connecting

The Administrator completing this setup must have Admin access to the Figma organization. SCIM provisioning is available on Figma Organization and Enterprise plans.

Step 1: Locate your Organization ID

Sign in to Figma and navigate to Admin → Settings. Your Organization ID is displayed in the Admin Settings page. Copy this value.

Step 2: Generate a SCIM API Token

1. In Figma Admin, navigate to Settings → Login and Provisioning.
2. Scroll to the SCIM provisioning section.
3. Select Generate API token.
4. Copy the token immediately. It will only be displayed once.

Important: Copy the SCIM API Token before leaving this page. It will not be shown again. If lost, a new token must be generated.

Step 3: Connect Figma in Tello IAM

1. Navigate to Integrations in the left navigation.
2. Select + Add Integration.
3. Search for Figma and select Add.
4. Enter your Organization ID in the Organization ID field.
5. Enter the SCIM API Token in the SCIM API Token field.
6. Select Test Connection to verify both values are valid. A Connection successful confirmation will appear if accepted.
7. Select Connect. The integration appears on the Integrations page and an initial sync begins automatically.

Verify the connection

After the initial sync completes, confirm the following on the Integrations page:

• The Figma integration displays a status of Active
• A sync timestamp is present and reflects the completed sync
• User records on the Users page display detected Figma permissions in the Access column

Reauthorizing the connection

If the Figma integration loses authorization, it will display an error on the Integrations page. To reauthorize, generate a new SCIM API Token in Figma Admin, then select the integration row in Tello IAM, select Configure, and enter the new token.
